What are MOOCs?
Massive Open Online Courses, or MOOCs for short, are free online courses at university level that are accessible to interested parties worldwide. They usually consist of various forms of knowledge transfer. Educational content is conveyed with the help of short videos that can be accessed on-demand by participants. The content is applied directly in the form of tasks in the system and thus deepened. The courses usually last 6 to 10 weeks. They have the advantage that learners can access them regardless of time and location. They also provide access to many different target groups worldwide.
